Parole Board Schedule |
The hearing was apparently an attempt to have him moved to some kind of medical facility from prison. I'm not sure what kind of facility this would be, but since Stockton is a "medical facility" I assume that this means something like an Alzheimer's locked facility and less like a prison.
Parole was denied, and ayres remains at Stockton at least until whatever ploy is attempted next.

william hamilton ayres was arrested on April 5, 2007 on charges relating to his molestation of many young boys while he was alleging to provide psychiatric care to private patients as well as referrals for evaluation from the juvenile court system in San Mateo County. After years of playing demented for the courts, ayres plead "No Contest" and was found guilty of all charges against him on May 16, 2013. ayres was sentenced to 8 years in prison on August 26, 2013. ayres is no longer under the conservatorship of his daughter Barbara Ayres of Sacramento, CA.
ayres has had significant interaction over the years with local politicians on boards like the "Children and Families First Commission," including the DA who was serving when prosecution began Jim Fox and Assemblyman Rich Gordon. In fact, Gordon nominated ayres for a lifetime achievement award for his "Tireless effort to improve the lives of children." ayres has also been vocally supported during his criminal trial by local head-shrinkers like Bart Blinder, Etta Bryant, Mel Blaustein, Harry Coren, Tom Ciesla, Robert Kimmich, Larry Lurie, Maria Lymberis, Richard Shadoan, Captane Thomson, and Harold Wallach.
Deep: Victims were not notified of the parole hearing. At least one family requested in writing as far back as 2008 that they be notified of ALL hearings. They have never been notified of a single one. This is a violation of Marsy's Law. Additionally, DA Wagstaffe bragged to KCBS in 2013 that his office TRAINS prosecutors to contact victims of hearings, WHETHER THEY REQUEST THEM OR NOT. This is a typical bullshit lie from Wagstaffe.

Excerpt:In response to this special series, San Francisco’s presiding judge and the state’s chief justice are both recommending reforms. KCBS has also learned that one Bay Area prosecutor, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe, is taking it even one step further – training his attorneys to observe a victim’s Marsy’s rights even if the victim doesn’t ask for them to be honored.
KCBS Cover Story Series: Marsy’s Law
“We try to comply with it in every case that we can, whether or not there’s a request,” he explained. “It does not take a request for us to do it, let’s try and make it happen in every case.”
According to Wagstaffe, so few victims invoke their rights under Marsy’s Law that he wants the attorneys in his office to act as if those rights are automatic, if not outright mandatory.
“Probably less than one percent of the cases where they’re exercising their rights to be informed on things. It’s for that reason we try to, as a matter of office policy, we try to follow its dictates even if they’re isn’t a request,” he said.
The Atherton Almanac contacted DA Wagstaffe about why his office never contacted the Ayres victims about parole. Same lying email excuse that he gave to the press in the Luke Lonergan and Troy Smith case. For the love of God, will someone at the State Bar investigate this corrupt DA?

San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe replied via email to an Almanac inquiry on his office's response to this post:
"I was able to look into the issue of notification of the victims prior to the medical parole hearing for William Ayres. Unfortunately, the victims were not notified. It is always our goal to notify victims of proceedings. In this case an email to the San Mateo detective who worked the case asking for notification to the victims of the medical hearing was somehow thrown into the police agency blocked emails. So the detective did not get the request and did not handle the victim notification as he has done in the past.
"Mr. Ayres was also not present at the parole hearing. The Board denied the request for early release."
