January 4th, 2010. No matter what they say about the trial date being set on September 11, odds are good now that it's already been agreed upon as January 4th.
By the way, if this holds, the new trial will start the day after ayres' 78th birthday.
As a word of caution, though, The judge DID specify that there were several dates identified. I think that it's safe to just wait the two weeks and see what Weinberg pulls out of his hat.
ReplyDeleteIf trial dates to select from ARE that early, it would be another indicator that perhaps Weinberg will be staying on as defense counsel.
The January 4 date comes from a top source. It's not a rumor.
ReplyDeleteWell the bastard gets to be home for the holidays one more year.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope the DA's office calls on Ayres' colleagues from Judge Baker. Those guys are getting up there. Better get to them soon.
ReplyDeleteJan 4th is probably good for the prosecution to line up their witnesses.
