In my efforts to put articles on this blog, I have neglected to mention someone:
There is one person who clearly stands out as a voluntary advocate for the former "patients" of Ayres in this case. Probably they don't get much chance to say thank you, as they're probably dealing with quite a bit of pain.
Victoria Balfour has worked hard to bring all of the info about Ayres forward!
Someone just forwarded me a link to this article about her efforts. As it happens, it's also a very good article with some of the background info about William Hamilton Ayres, his career, and what he has done to children over the years.

Ms. Balfour has done an outstanding job helping to expose this predator. So too have each of his victims who have found the strength to speak up! Because of all of you, kids are safer today!
